don't think i'v ever heard of someone not liking a good TOD, maybe on one of the cont/planet/moon whatever right dead center there would be 3 towers set in a triangle formation,in the center of the towers would be a permanent WG bubble that all 3 teams could always warp to.
Now at all times no 2 towers will be the owned by the same team, lets say team "A" attacks and captures team "B" tower, at the time of capture team "A" tower becomes team "B".
Besides the random TOD's that would happen here there could also be events with awards or whatever.

I've always like the idea of nuetral spawn points. Just for TODs/Duels.

To me, the charm with TODs (which I assume means Tower of Death) is that it's a spur of the moment thing. A group of mad soldiers decide to take and hold an enemy tower for as long as possible, where an enemy presence already is strong. This is a very personal opinion (like most opinions tend to be :P), but to make permanent areas of this sort of thing would take the craziness away from it, and turn it into some kind of UT/CS/Q3 minigame within this game.

Which in itself might not be an outright -bad- thing.

sometimes you just need a good TOD, and you don't really feel like getting farmed by a whole sworm of an empire defending a base. I think this is a good idea

I agree with this, if there were permanent tod there would be the stress / fact action pumping you get rushing up to cc as you died defending it...

I agree with this, if there were permanent tod there would be the stress / fact action pumping you get rushing up to cc as you died defending it...

I agree too i like the spur of the moment "Guys TOD TIME BITCHES!' Being heard over TS. Then again i also like planned ones, cause the zerg ALWAYS ruin our TODs. So a Permanent one would be bad either... ;)

How about a continent/zone/level where there is one hackable tower, and some distance away (not too close, not too far) at equal distances are three (or however many empires there are) permanent non-destructable spawn points, one for each empire.

The outside spawn point of the empire that currently owns the tower is not active, so the soldiers of the team that owns the tower alway spawn inside. Opposing empire soldiers spawn outside at one of the other two spawn points.

As soon as ownership of the tower changes, the new owner's outside spawn point deactivates, and the loser's spawn point activates.

Also, no ability to bring in vehicles, artillery, or anything like that to this zone. Only troops/infantry.

Just a thought.
