EVE Online Hit by CCP Misconduct Scandal

The ignored issues are summed up quite nicely by forum poster, Borgholio:

The concern being talked about by the vast majority of players is not the identity of certain Dev or GM players, nor is it an in-game event that occurred many months ago. The concern is that Band of Brothers (and possibly other large alliances) have received ill-gotten assistance from the Developers or GMs in the form of blueprints, ships, etc. That was the biggest concern, and you made absolutely no mention of it at all. Nobody really cares about the identity of CCP players in player alliances. Nobody really cares about an event that took place months ago. People care about rampant cheating by those whose job it is to STOP cheating. By conveniently ignoring this issue, you are only reinforcing the belief that CCP has something to hide.

Recently new information has been released by kugutsumen regarding the identity and conduct of the developer Vincent@ccpgames.com under the multiple identities of Ishos Rerajan, Thryr Merim and t20.

- was in charge of RKK Capital Ship Command
- when forced to leave RKK, left 10 T2 BPO behind.
- was a witness all the RKK EULA abuse, char resale, etc.

While writing this article I have just noticed that kieron has closed the thread he made concerning the investigation citing the thread going off topic due to a “lack of clarity” in his initial statement. He also denies that CCP are sweeping this issue under the rug and, “More information and answers will be posted before the start of the weekend.”

As more information becomes available I will keep this article updated through the comment thread or write a follow up article if it’s warranted.

Discuss this article.
