MarkovForums.com was started April 21, 2005 after SOE's heavy moderation of the Planetside Official Forums made "forumside" considerably less fun. Since paying Spork to setup and run forums for us wasn't really an option we now have this setup run, on the admin side by myself (Aftiel). It's pretty easy since the community is fairly self-policing, intelligent and backed up by multiple mods that keep an eye on things while forum whoring. A great bonus of having forums independent of the game is no subscription is required to post here and stay in touch, as less and less of us seem to be playing PS we're slowly expanding into other games (BF2, EVE, F.E.A.R, etc.) so this is a big benefit.

One of the main points of this forum is that it's pretty much impossible to get banned for the content of your posts (nor do we delete posts we don't like). Just follow the rules.
